Scanning your identification document is a simple and fast process required for identity verification. You can use either your passport, ID card or driving licence. Just keep in mind that your document must be valid and not expired.
Here are some tips to help you scan your document:
- If you choose to use your passport, lay it flat and hold it by the edges with your fingers. If it has a protective cover, please remove it. You will need to scan the front or inside of back cover page and wait for the NFC scan to complete.
- If you choose to use your ID card, make sure you hold your ID by the two corners of the document with your fingers and try not to cover any part of the photo page. You will be asked to scan the front and the back side of the document and wait for the validation screen.
- If you are using your driving license, please select Government Photo ID and follow the instructions on screen. You will be asked to scan just the front page of the document so it will be easier if you place the document on a flat surface.
If you have any issues while scanning your document, we recommend doing it in a well-lit room and placing the document on a flat surface for better results.
After completing the document scanning you will be asked to scan your mobile NFC (near-field communication) to connect your device with your ID card or Passport. In order to do that place your mobile device on top of your document and wait for the alert that says the scan is complete. Please make sure that you complete this step to complete the validation of your ID document and safely verify your identity.
