Create API Credentials

Use this option to access the Portfolio via API. This will allow you to generate the credentials required to connect to a specific Portfolio and retrieve data without using the Simur Studio interface. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the correct business and go to Settings.
  2. Click on Portfolios section. 
  3. Choose a Portfolio and use the dropdown menu to enter in API Access.
  4. Use this section to Generate New API Credentials.
  5. Once you have created the API Credentials, use them to access Portfolio via API. Use the Re-Generate New API Credentials button to create new credentials. Previous credentials are invalidated.

Note: Once you have created API Credentials, when you enter to the API Access button, directly Simur Studio will show the Credentials, not the Generate New API Credentials button.

Delete API Credentials

Once the API Credentials have been created, a Team Member called API User will be created as a member of the Portfolio Management team. To delete the API Credentials, you must remove this user. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the correct business and go to Settings.
  2. Click on Portfolios section.
  3. Choose a Portfolio and use the dropdown menu to enter in Manage Team Members.
  4. Select the API User member and use the dropdown menu and Remove to delete it.

Note: If you click on Edit in the API User, you will be able to review the API Credentials, but you will not be able to modify them.

Note: You will be able to create the API Credentials again by following the steps described in the Create API Credentials section.
