In the article How to Start a Flow, we covered that at the beginning of a Flow, you must select the Type of Trigger. This defines the entities that will be required to respond to it.
Please note that the Trigger Role option is intended to be used when you need to request information and/or specific documentation from a particular role within a company.
This means that when you assign a Business Line containing a Flow to a company in the portfolio, that Flow will be delivered to all entities within it that have the specified role.
- First, open the drop-down menu and select Role in the Type of Trigger's section. Then choose if the Flow should apply only to future clients or to both current and future clients.
- Next, select a Role from Other Defined Roles (you can specify between the exact role that will receive the Flow or all of them) or from the Ownership Structure or Governance/Management role families.
In the Corporate Structure article, we explain that it may include companies that have other individuals and companies within their own structure creating multiple levels within it.
When a Flow starts with a Role Trigger, it will apply to all the first level companies within the corporate structure. That means that the Flow must be completed by everyone who has the designated Role and belongs to the corresponding corporate structure tree.
This means that if a company belongs to the first level, where the Flow is initiated, the role assigned to that same level will be the one responsible for responding to the Flow, even if, strictly speaking, that role would normally correspond to a lower level.
